Team Profile

Technology Risk's (Tech Risk) mandate is to enable the Firm to manage its technology related risks. The department executes the first line of defense technology risk management capabilities and implements proactive, comprehensive, and consistent risk management practices across the Firm.

Tech Risk protects the Firm’s information, systems, and infrastructure from cyber and insider threats; ensures the secure and stable delivery of services to our clients; and adjusts to risks presented by an evolving threat landscape. The department delivers a range of operational capabilities, as well as suite of advanced detection, monitoring and analytics, and also provides expert advice on secure design and development and control effectiveness. Tech Risk manages responses to regulatory and client inquiries about the Firm’s technology environment and ensures Technology divisions meet governance and oversight obligations along all lines of defense, driving material and measurable risk reduction. Tech Risk maintains strategic relationships with external entities, both public and private, to facilitate information sharing and innovation in financial services, technology, and government, and is also responsible for building risk education and security awareness programs to increase vigilance across the Firm.

Position Description

The mission of the Data Protection Services (DPS) team is to implement the Firm's Cybersecurity Strategy by architecting, engineering, deploying and operating technical security controls and capabilities for the Enterprise. This is achieved by continued focus on architectural rigor, automation, Agile delivery and adoption of ESP's control implementations by our users and partners.

The Data Protection fleet design and operate solutions that secure data at rest and in transit, escalating inappropriate usage of the Firm's data to incident responders.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new tools to support business needs and integrate with the MS eco system
• Participation in Design and code reviews
• Involve in rapid prototyping of various tools and technologies
• Knowledge sharing with our global team
• You will be responsible for continuously improving the quality of our technology solutions, through a range of methods including peer review, retrospectives and refactoring as required
• You will be familiar with a range of security concepts and technologies
• Working primarily as a security engineering specialist in the delivery of change & support to the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) services
• Key responsibilities of this role are:
• Support of Engineering & Operational tasks involved in data security services, ranging from service deliver, automation, DevOps tasks and on call rotational support

Required Skills

• Experience with automation/ integration tools like Jenkins
• Proficient in developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines
• 7+ years of experience
• Good understanding of secure coding techniques and IT security principals
• Ability to collaborate across squad and stakeholder groups, to address challenges and roadblocks
• Excellent knowledge of Source Code Management tooling, Git is the preference
• Proficient in scripting languages, PowerShell and Python, delivering automated solutions
• Strong experience & background in Microsoft Azure and other cloud & security products & services

Desired Skills

• Experience in building & maintaining relationships across a wide technology organization
• Experience working in a large, multi-national enterprise in any industry vertical, showing experience of communicating and collaborating in global distributed team
• Experience in Agile & DevOps ways of working
• Experience of container orchestration technologies, service monitoring tooling & cloud services
• Knowledge of networking protocols, topology and debugging Operating Systems (WINDOWS & RHEL)
