Your Opportunity
BDO Lixar is looking for a Senior Consultant, Cloud Engineering to join their growing team, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in Canada. The individual will own the following responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of testing and verification, ensuring all tasks are performed for all interfaces.
• Promote automation and infrastructure best practices
• Ensure that deployed Azure services meets availability and disaster recovery needs
• Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implementation and stabilization phases of the project.
• Design and implementation of highly available, scalable and resilient applications both for cloud-native and non-cloud technologies stack
• Develop cloud-native solutions for a cutting-edge CI/CD ecosystem
• Learn from a great team of fellow engineers in building real-world cloud-scale solutions across public and private clouds
• Ensure that Azure services support the ability to be provisioned via AKS platform and Core Pipeline products (Terraform Enterprise and GitHub).
• Contribute to a team of like-minded platform engineers building platforms in Azure
• Promote automation and infrastructure best practices
• Ensure Azure services have full observability and monitoring to ensure expected levels of services
• Automate provision of Azure service developing Terraform modules
• Participate in Day 2 operational needs such as service maintenance and incident/support response

Your Experience And Education
Must have:

• Communication skills necessary to work on a geographically distributed team.
• Experience with GoLang or Python
• A passion for making developers more efficient through DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure Automation and Infrastructure as Code (Azure)
• 3+ years experience with Azure networking and security
• 3+ years experience with Kubernetes deployment and configuration in a cloud environment
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory
• 3+ years of experience with developing Terraform modules

Nice-to-Have:

• HashiCorp Terraform certification
• Application development experience/background
• MS Azure certification
• Experience working with Jira and Scrum development methodology
• CKA certification
