The opportunity
In today’s global and dynamic market, companies, non-profit organizations, and governments are challenged to operate and invest efficiently. Furthermore, organizations’ priorities and mandates are expanding beyond financial performance to broader social outcomes. KPMG’s Economic Services practice provides the quantitative and qualitative analysis clients need in identifying, assessing and addressing their most critical needs in the local and global markets. Our advice is based on key principles of economics and statistics applied to our clients’ specific situations.
You will work with and under the guidance of our talented Economic Services team to assist our clients in addressing complex issues, challenges and opportunities that arise in the development and implementation of policy, with a focus on economic and social outcomes. Your work will include research, analysis, stakeholder communication, note taking, and deliverable preparation. You will support the team in taking complex economic concepts and findings and distilling them into easy-to-understand ideas.
What You Will Do

What You Bring To The Role
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Two years of full-time professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proven written communication abilities and strong presentation skills, with demonstrated experience in business writing.
  • Bachelors or Masters or PHD in Economics or a related field with a fundamental understanding in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and statistical methods.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Experience in public policy analysis including measurement of social outcomes and impacts is an asset.
  • Technical skills including modelling using econometric and statistical techniques in an academic and non-academic setting.
  • Proficiency with statistical or econometrics software (Stata, SAS, R, Matlab, etc.).
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Experience in client service is an asset.
  • Experience with Big Data analytics (Altryx) and data visualization (Tableau, BI, Qlik) is an asset.
