The Senior Business Systems Analyst supports the continuous improvement of commercial applications to ensure systems are effectively meeting business objectives. They are responsible for eliciting functional and technical requirements to support the design and development of technical solutions to meet business needs. They lead the configuration design of application modules specific to different business areas by aligning system processes with business requirements. They analyze financial and business reporting requirements and develop structured queries and reports. They provide ongoing application, data, analytics and integration platform support and responsibilities may include performing changes to business application configuration and programs. Recommendations made by this position result in changes in methods, processes, system configurations and operating procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Engages with solution architects and engineers to design and configure solutions
• Work with operational teams to validate technical processes and system performance to provide continuous improvement
• Elicit, analyze, document and validate functional and technical requirements, inputs and outputs to support application development, configuration activities and business reporting
• Detailed knowledge of standard Commercial processes to support corporate services (eCommerce, Retail, Document Management, etc.)
• Facilitate system implementation and data migration tasks in support of projects
• Develop content, as required, for training modules, deliver training, and provide and guidance to system users and department staff
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical support procedures and reference materials
• Collaborates with technical and subject matter experts to analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs
• Understand data mapping and data flow within the supported systems
• Point of escalation for the Service Desk to provide support for business application incidents and requests
• Configures modules and platform workflows in their designated system
• Design and configure end user reporting
• Establish the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of functional and technical requirements to create viable specifications and acceptance criteria for solutions
• Document and present technical requirements via system and reporting design specifications and as-built documentation
• Develop test cases and test scripts and support the QA team in planning and executing the testing
• Review, analyze and define current/future state system processes and develop functional and technical specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for identified development, system modifications, and implementation tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Let's Talk About You:

• Understanding of enterprise and retail systems and how those systems support the business and retail operations
• Solid understanding of relational databases, entity-relationship diagrams, data normalization, data analytics, data migrations, business intelligence
• Certification and/or training in Microsoft D365, Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, Azure, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Workday, SharePoint are an asset.
• Five or more years of experience as a Business Analyst working in a Direct-To-Consumer Commercial environment
• Experience with a global landscape
• Knowledge of systems analysis, software development practices, agile methodology
• Strong experience with eCommerce Platforms, Retail POS, ERP, Order Management Systems and Product Information Management processes as demonstrated through formal training, certification and experience
• University Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field
• Expertise in two of more areas: Retail, E-Commerce, document management, collaboration tools, business intelligence
