As the E-commerce Coordinator for our WooCommerce-based website, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our online store. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of plugin management, and website optimization, and addressing any faults or issues that may arise. Your goal will be to enhance the overall user experience and drive customer satisfaction by maintaining a seamless and user-friendly e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Plugin Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of WooCommerce plugins. Research and recommend new plugins that can enhance the website's functionality and meet business needs.
- Website Optimization: Monitor website performance and load times regularly, identifying areas for improvement. Implement optimization strategies such as caching, image compression, and code minification to enhance website speed and responsiveness.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for identifying and resolving any plugin-related issues, website glitches, or functionality faults. Collaborate with developers or third-party support to address complex technical problems promptly.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct thorough testing of the website, plugins, and checkout process to identify and resolve any bugs or issues that might impact the user experience or order processing.
- SEO and Content Optimization: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that the website content is optimized for search engines. Collaborate on strategies to improve the website's visibility and drive organic traffic.
- Security and Updates: Stay updated with the latest security patches and plugin updates. Ensure timely implementation of updates to protect the website from vulnerabilities and potential threats.
- User Experience Enhancement: Continuously analyze user behavior and feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing the user experience. Propose and implement improvements to the website's navigation, layout, and overall design.
- Inventory and Product Management: Assist in managing product data, inventory levels, and pricing within the WooCommerce system. Ensure product pages are accurate and up to date.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to monitor website performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to management. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
- Documentation and Training: Maintain documentation for website-related processes, troubleshooting guides, and best practices. Train team members on using WooCommerce efficiently and resolving common issues.
Requirements:
- Experience with website analytics tools and data-driven decision-making is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies, including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience working with WooCommerce, managing plugins, and optimizing e-commerce websites.
