About This Team
The trade team, rooted under the Global Supply Chain Technology domain, ensures customs compliance with global regulatory agencies with regards to the movement of our goods, as well as unlocking capabilities to take advantage of preferential trade agreements in a scalable manner. We work closely with other supply chain teams such as our upstream product, logistics and distribution systems.
a day in the life

• Contributing through mentoring and sponsoring lesser-experienced engineers.
• Support team members in getting unblocked as problems arise. A critical thinking, curious mindset is a must to support the team with root cause analysis and resolving larger issues
• Communicate with different levels of stakeholders and be a champion of several initiatives that you are responsible for completing
• Communicate with the product team to understand requirements and break user stories down into a design that engineers can build, guiding them through the initial process and providing expertise and coaching to the technical team
• Work on a range of products and problem spaces across various teams and company domains to design/build technology to support the business team
• Experience with engaging in high level high architecture reviews, i.e. ARB and SARB
• Advocate for the correct design by looking at enterprise-level, long-term direction
• Supporting enterprise architecture standards

Qualifications

• Experience with KAFKA
• Experience with Microservice Architecture
• AWS, CI/CD experience and familiarity with IaC and Proxy servers
• Experience with CDNs / caching / security / routing rules / etc
• Expertise with Single Page Web Apps built on React, Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, Webpack and Next.js stack
• Experience testing Java applications from Unit to JUNIT
• Experience with application observability, system-level design, performance
• Experience testing JavaScript applications from Unit to E2E
