Job Description

Our client in Burnaby, a leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of high-quality engineered products for the construction industry is recruiting for a Supply Chain Management Specialist.

Under the guidance of their Vice President of Supply Chain Management you will be responsible to define and execute the procurement strategy for the assigned commodity group. You will appreciate their fast paced and rapidly evolving workplace and enjoy being part of a team with aggressive growth aspirations.

Responsibilities

· Utilizing Epicor Kinetic ERP for MRP and visual Kanban replenishment strategies, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials within your assigned commodity group.

· Prepare, issue and collect and evaluate new and updated product Request for Quotations.

· In collaboration with the Engineering Change Order and New Product Release teams, you will mange the material phase in/phase out timelines.

· Maintain up to date shortage reports, expedite all materials that are short or at risk of being short, and communicate status and expected availability dates to all internal stakeholders.

· Communicate the client’s requirements for packaging with suppliers and ensure suppliers understand and comply with the requirements.

· Support the timely investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies, data inaccuracies pr other anomalies in a timely manner to determine root cause and necessary corrective actions.

· Create reports, analyze data and course correct activities and strategies to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

· Must have MRP experience ( preferably Epicor Kinetic).

· Nice to have Post Secondary education in a relevant discipline and APICS certification.

· Experience with lean supply chain management and activities

· Critical thinker, detail oriented and analytical problem solver

· Unwavering commitment to business and ethics

· Excellent self motivation

· Ability to work well in a team or individually
