Job Title: Supply Chain Operations Manager
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Travel: Domestic travel to support offices and retail stores
Reporting to: Director of Supply Chain Development - North America
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Role summary
The role is primarily focused on the ongoing development of supply chain operations in Canada. Supporting the director of supply chain development, you will be responsible for working with key functional areas within our global supply chain and the Canadian regional team in identifying areas for operational and sustainability improvements whilst also supporting the enablement of future growth plans within the region.
The Role
Principal Accountabilities:
Operational Execution
- Supports the management of data for supply chain operations in region from a product and pricing perspective across all platforms
- Work with the regional data team developing supply chains data and enabling it to be brought to life in order to support ours and our stores performance
- Works with group supply chain and CA product team to support the execution of new Product launches in region.
- Supports group category owners with supplier management information and introducing and maintaining supplier performance KPI’s
- Support in the development and execution of our future unitary and clinical equipment replenishment model
- Support our Group S&OP function by ensuring all necessary inventory data and information is being captured and reported upon in a timely manner
- Liaise with the group demand planning team ensuring they have all relevant inventory and regional forecast information necessary for security of product but also enabling the Head of Logistics and Distribution to manage capacity planning effectively
Network & Process Improvement
- Establish a clear set of supply chain processes within the region
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains within regional supply chain operations
- Supports the Director of Supply Chain Development in enabling our growth strategy within region
- Be the custodian of all supply chain processes in region and act as change control manager for them
- Identify areas for re-design and improvement
Sustainability
- Develops and maintains a process to track sustainability improvements
- Creates a sustainability forum for supply chain in Canada with representatives from our logistics and distribution functions.
- Develops a set of supply chain sustainability targets in that align with our group objectives
- Acts as supply chain representative for sustainability in region
Project Execution
- Leads appropriate supply chain projects in region as directed by the Director of Supply Chain Development
Relationship management
- Responsible for developing strong and lasting relationships with all relevant stakeholders – including internal and external ‘customers’ and suppliers
Strategy, change and planning
- Support the establishment of a continual improvement network within the supply chain operations in region
- Supports the Director of Supply Chain Development in developing and deploying key strategic initiatives specific to this region
- In conjunction with the Director of Supply Chain Development work with local retail teams to understand areas for potential improvement from both a cost and service perspective and develop those initiatives through from business case planning to delivery
It is anticipated that the accountabilities of the role will evolve over time due to the changing needs of the business along with other social, economic and political changes.
