YOUR MISSION


Reporting to the Public Relations Manager, the incumbent is a communications expert who participates in developing and deploying strategic corporate communication initiatives to support the needs and objectives of the company, its various business units and its executives. S/he is an expert in media relations, writing, editing, and planning, and demonstrates thoughtful and creative thinking. The successful candidate will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders and be seen as a trusted partner.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Support the adherence to corporate organizational culture, strategies and procedures to connect to the Company’s objectives and priorities
  • Work in collaboration with other communications and marketing teams to contribute to departmental objectives
  • Write, revise, and edit a variety of compelling communication material intended for external audiences through various communication channels (press releases, presentations, speeches, videos, talking points)
  • Represent the organization’s operations and values with external stakeholders when hosting at the International Head Office
  • Develop integrated communication documentation, plans and messaging to support business objectives and execute these plans with rigor and professionalism
  • Develop and maintain close ties with local, national, and international business and entertainment press
  • Participate in the management of crises or issues as required
  • Manage projects and initiatives to support external communication and reputation needs for different business units and functions, including media relations and media monitoring
  • Track and ensure timely, professional responses to internal or external inquiries
  • Conduct research as needed


YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE


  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume and collaborative environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations or Communications
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience in public relations agency or corporate PR department
  • Strong interpersonal and corporate skills
  • Professionalism, good judgment for work on projects touching all levels of the organization, including the CEO office
  • Must have a valid passport and be able to travel occasionally
  • Strong media relations skills and media contacts
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to successfully prioritize needs and handle shifting priorities and ambiguous situations
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends, if required
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
  • Very good knowledge of business and entertainment media
  • Attention to detail
  • Autonomy and initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and build trust at all levels of the organization
