The Research Specimen and Supply Management (RSSM) Assistant II is to provide support for PHRI study teams and sites around the world with the movement of medical goods, through international borders and in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods legislation. This position is to oversee the operation and management of Research Supply Orders, materials assembly, and supply inventory within the RSSM Department, verifying all critical information is reflected into the data capture systems correctly. This role supports the RSSM Manager by helping train and mentor junior staff as appropriate and acts as an escalation point for RSSM Assistant (I) as needed.

• Mathematical ability to perform calculations associated with ordering and inventory management.
• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Good Clinical Practices.
• Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and determine level of priority and complexity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with Excel and Access; database creation, and data manipulation preferred
• Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written and e-mail, telephone).
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
• Undergraduate degree, or post-secondary Diploma Health/Laboratory Science or Administrative with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to oversee work of a team, and help train staff members.
