Clinical Research Assistant Jobs

Adecco is currently hiring a Clinical Research Assistant in Ottawa, ON to work for our client, who is dedicated to advancing diagnostic technology to improve patient care in the healthcare field. In this role you will be involved in implementing protocols, studies, and operational processes within the Clinical Affairs group of the R&D Department. You will interact with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, project managers, statisticians, and data managers to design, execute, analyze, and report on clinical studies. • Location: Ottawa, ON
• This role requires Canadian Education or Degree or WES Certification.
• Job type: Temporary | Full-time
• Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the development and maintenance of operating procedures, as needed.
• Technical or lab experience is of benefit (medical testing, sample handling)
• Understands and follows Regulatory and Quality standards and specific procedures in executing studies
• Helps to review and document study results
• Carries out monitoring visits, follows up with sites, writes visit reports, etc.
• Responsible for execution of general tasks and monitoring tasks of clinical studies
• Carries out timely collection of study documentation according to procedures and regulations
• Participates in the creation of clinical documents which may include protocols/CRFs/reports, etc.

Requirements:

• Some travel may be required
• The individual must be flexible and be able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
• You must be a self-starter and have the ability to follow instructions and use good judgment.
• This position requires someone who can work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
• Experience in clinical or laboratory research in medical devices or in vitro diagnostics is an asset.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong technical writing skills (English)
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice is strongly preferred.
• Minimum Education: B.Sc. preferred, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of two years' experience in conducting clinical research or related scientific laboratory skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
