Rpn/Medical Office Assistant

We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic individual to join our active Clinic on a temporary part time to full time nature. Because our clinic can be a fast paced environment, we are seeking a highly motivated individual who has experience working in a medical clinic and is someone who is keen on learning and growing. The MOA/RPN would provide support to patients and physicians to maintain fluidity of the clinic.

Responsibilities

Successful candidate would perform a variety of tasks including

-greeting patients in a friendly manner

-maintain patient’s privacy and dignity

-weighing and recording patients weights

-checking and recording blood pressure, heart rate and temperature

-guiding patients in and out of treatment rooms

-stocking treatment areas

-maintain public health standards in cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining instruments

-ensure treatment rooms are cleaned and maintained between patients

-preparing and organizing patients charts inputting data to the EMR

-other duties as required

-occasional reception work (answering phone calls, booking appointments, ordering supplies, printing/scanning/filing, processing referrals, and OR booking) is required.

Qualifications

Post secondary education in Medical Office Administration (MOA) or Registered Practical Nursing (RPN)

English required

- recent public health Ontario’s “reprocessing in community health care settings” needed (online course easily obtained)

-excellent understanding of medical terminology

-ability to work both independently and as a team member

-exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills

-ability to work well under pressure and handle a busy atmosphere

-experience with ACCURO EMR an asset

-experience in obstetrics and gynaecology an asset

-experience giving IM injections as asset but not required?
