As our Robotics Software Team Lead, you will lead a team of software developers in the implementation of RobotLogic : our robot-agnostic visual programming tool to control robotic arms - from simulating in the Cloud, all the way to operating on the shopfloor.

To be a successful Team Lead, you will first have to master every technical aspect of our automation technologies. You will have the opportunity to show ownership over our products, interacting with various stakeholders (Product Manager, QA Analyst), guiding technical decisions, organizing your team’s work, to finally bring your projects to completion!

More specifically, you will:

• Own a core piece of our product line. You are joining us for the long run.
• Participate in the testing of your solutions on physical hardware, interacting with several robot arm manufacturers (Fanuc, UR, Doosan, etc.).
• Organize your team’s work: sprints, reviews, tests, deployment, you name it.
• Participate in the design of the user experience and our graphical user interfaces.
• Work every day with robot programming (ROS) and full stack web development (Javascript, React, xstate), hands on.
• Have 3 amazing software developers report directly to you. You will help them grow their careers on a technical and interpersonal levels.
• Guide our technical decisions. Architect our code stack for various environments: simulating in our online CAD, as well as running on our standalone motion controllers.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ROS, robot programming and motion planning
• A genuine interest for UI/UX
• Strong leadership skills, to show ownership over full, end-to-end solutions
• Understanding of TCP/IP, REST, MQTT
• Experience with at least one proprietary robot platform (URSim, ROBOGUIDE, DART, or other), and hardware deployment
• Programming languages: Javascript, Python, React. C++ is an asset.
• Love of new challenges and ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Understanding of distributed system design and the related technical challenges
