Job Description
Eaton’s EPG EAS Electrical Automation Solutions division is currently seeking a Lead Software Developer. This position is located in our offices in Brossard, Québec with remote work opportunities. Candidates must reside in Québec, Canada..

CYME International T&D, a division of Eaton Corporation, is a global leader in power system simulation and analysis software. As a member of a multidisciplinary development team, the lead software developer will participate in the design and development of web applications and automation solutions in the field of analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energy.

Essential Functions


  • Leads technology evaluation and selection.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable source code.
  • Prepares detailed test plans.
  • Collaborates with the support team to provide an unparalleled customer experience.
  • Leads all stages of the development cycle in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Leads design workshops and project deployment activities both locally and at client sites.
  • Acts as a mentor.
  • Analyzes technical specifications and technical requirements of complex projects.


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Professional fluency in French and English. Fluency in English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, customers, and partners located inside and outside of Quebec, as well as to understand technical documentation in the field of our industry.
  • Must reside within an 80km radius of our Montreal office or on the south shore.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Work experience as a lead software developer or similar role.
  • Professional experience with C#.
  • Professional experience in single-page application development with Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Professional experience in software architecture.


Preferred Qualifications


  • General knowledge of programming languages: C++, Python.
  • Experience with databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database.
