Researcher / Data Analyst

Qatalyst Research Group is looking for a curious and analytical Researcher/ Data Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a flexible and dynamic work environment. This is a fulltime, remote-based position.

Responsibilities

• Summarizing and coding open-ended questions and text data
• Final analysis and report writing to Data presentation, visualization, and report writing
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis (using Excel or other analytical tools)
• Draft and develop PowerPoint presentations, infographics, logic models
• Implementing field research activities (interviews, surveys, open ended questions and focus groups)
• Conducting document, file and literature reviews
• Supporting project managers and research team with logistics (scheduling/communication)
• Perform other duties as required
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis

Qualifications

• Additional experience working with other programming languages such as Python or R is considered an asset
• 2 to 3 years of experience in conducting research and qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• Solid understanding of research methodologies
• The ability to write and summarize research findings from a professional report writing perspective is required
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as survey software (e.g., Survey Monkey)
• Superb time management, analytical and writing skills
• Innovative, curious, ambitious and problem-solving personality
• Fluency in French is an asset as is experience in working in and with Indigenous communities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse set of highly skilled professionals in a team-based environment
• Post-secondary degree in areas such as social sciences, business, economics, public sector policy, statistics, or data analysis

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
