Research Associate - Healthcare

About the Position

As a member of the healthcare equity research team, the Associate will gain firsthand experience evaluating biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare companies that operate in domestic and international markets. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Interacting with our coverage universe companies and our Capital Market professionals; and
• Maintaining sector databases and comparable company datasets;
• Assisting in the preparation of research reports including morning comments, research notes, initiating coverage reports and general sector reports;
• Providing support to one or more analysts;
• Working in a fast-paced atmosphere with time-sensitive deadlines
• Building and maintaining company specific financial models;

Candidate Qualifications

Research Capital Corporation is looking for a talented individual who is highly motivated, very detail oriented, has good interpersonal skills, is a team player and can fit into our entrepreneurial environment. Ideal qualifications include:

• Must demonstrate the aptitude and be willing to take the time to learn the science required for the job if applying with a Business or Math degree;
• Very strong in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills;
• High degree of professionalism, adherence to professional standards and personal integrity;
• Must be willing to commit to completing at least level 1 of the CFA program;
• Able to multitask while maintaining a high work standard; and
• A previous course in Statistics would be ideal but not a requirement;
• Capable of consistently working in a demanding environment with long hours while keeping a positive attitude;
• University degree in Business, Math, or Science;
• Very skilled at writing and articulating ideas;
• Ideally has an understanding of finance and accounting;
