Job Description
Summary


Corporate Services is at the centre of the action, providing the support that enables industry leadership. The Corporate Responsibility & Environment team aims at minimizing risk and creating business value by managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. We are the governance team responsible to ensure legal compliance, reduce business risks, set internal standards and targets, measure and report our performance, work with business units to reduce our environmental footprint and maintain our ISO 14001 and 50001 certifications.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure successful completion of the annual environmental action plan related to issues under his/her responsibility;
  • Manage, coordinate and implement environmental programs;
  • Coordinate the logistics of the annual ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification audits and assist external auditors during site visits;
  • Coordinate the logistics for the preparedness and monitoring of the Corporate Environmental Action Plan;
  • Ensure the company’s EnMS is compliant with ISO 50001;
  • Coordinate environmental and energy programs and subprograms’ analysis;
  • Oversee the process surrounding the management of environmental aspects, gap analyses, corporate objectives, non-compliance and corrective actions;
  • Letter of Environmental Assurance and annual environmental dashboard;
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits and produce compliance reports;
  • Risk and Pensions Fund Committee report;
  • Health & Safety, Security, Environment and Compliance Oversight Committee report;
  • Quarterly non-compliance reports;
  • Review and evolve the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Framework by collaborating with primes and relying on industry standards and/or best practices;
  • Identify business risks and opportunities to improve management systems;
  • Ensure the company’s EMS is compliant with ISO 14001;
  • Plan and coordinate the Environmental Action Committee meetings;
  • As part of his/her role, the incumbent will also work closely with team members and various business units’ representatives within the company to:
  • Oversee the management of the performance evaluation processes and prepare performance reports to the Company’s officers:
  • Participate in the elaboration of the team’s annual Business Plan;


Qualifications


  • Experience in coordinating an EMS;
  • Autonomous and comfortable to deal with tight deadlines;
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and French;
  • University degree in a field relevant to the position together with graduate-level education in a related field or a master’s degree in environmental science;
  • Well organized and thorough in performing tasks;
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with peers;
  • Good knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018 standards;
  • Positive and solution-oriented attitude
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Ability to manage uncertainty;
  • Ability to analyze data;
  • Practical knowledge of the Canadian environmental legal framework (federal, provincial and municipal);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

L’équipe Responsabilité d’entreprise et environnement vise à réduire les risques et à créer de la valeur commerciale en gérant les enjeux environnementaux et sociaux ainsi que les questions liées à la gouvernance (ESG). Nous sommes l’équipe de gouvernance chargée d’assurer la conformité juridique, de réduire les risques commerciaux, d’établir des normes et des objectifs internes, de mesurer et de communiquer notre rendement, de travailler avec les unités d’affaires pour réduire notre empreinte environnementale et de maintenir nos certifications ISO 14001 et 50001.


RESPONSABILITÉS


  • S’assurer que le SGEn de l’entreprise est conforme à la norme ISO 50001 ;
  • Rapport trimestriel des non-conformités ;
  • Coordonner la logistique de préparation et de suivi du Plan d’action environnemental de la compagnie et préparer les rapports de performance ;
  • Lettre d’assurance environnementale et tableau de bord environnemental annuel ;
  • S’assurer que le SGE de l’entreprise est conforme à la norme ISO 14001 ;
  • Participer à l’élaboration du Plan d’affaires annuel de l’équipe RE&E ;
  • Réviser et faire évoluer le cadre PEVA (Planifier-Exécuter-Vérifier-Agir) en collaborant avec les équipes internes et en s’appuyant sur les normes industrielles et/ou les meilleures pratiques ;
  • Gérer, coordonner et mettre en œuvre les programmes environnementaux ;
  • Planifier et coordonner les réunions du comité d’action environnementale ;
  • Rapport au comité des risques et du fonds de pension ;
  • Superviser le processus de gestion des aspects environnementaux, l’analyse des écarts, ainsi que le suivi des objectifs, des non-conformités et des mesures correctives ;
  • Coordonner la logistique des audits annuels de certification ISO 14001 et ISO 50001, et assister les vérificateurs externes lors des visites de sites ;
  • Identifier les risques et les occasions d’affaires dans le but d’améliorer les systèmes de gestion.
  • Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, le/la titulaire du poste travaillera également en étroite collaboration avec les membres de l’équipe et les représentants de diverses unités d’affaires de l’entreprise pour :
  • Coordonner les analyses des programmes et sous-programmes environnementaux et énergétiques ;
  • Rapport au comité de surveillance de la santé et sécurité, de la sûreté, de l’environnement et de la conformité ;
  • Coordonner et conduire des audits internes et produire les rapports de conformité ;
  • Veiller à l’exécution du plan d’action environnemental annuel lié aux enjeux dont il/elle est responsable ;
  • Superviser la gestion des processus d’évaluation du rendement et préparer des rapports de rendement à l’intention des dirigeants de l’entreprise :


Qualifications


  • Excellentes aptitudes pour la communication verbale et écrite ;
  • Diplôme d’études universitaires dans un domaine pertinent au poste, ainsi qu’une formation de deuxième cycle dans un domaine connexe ou une maîtrise en sciences de l’environnement ;
  • Expérience en coordination de systèmes de gestion ;
  • Attitude positive et axée sur les solutions ;
  • Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français à l’oral et à l’écrit ;
  • Autonomie et aisance à composer avec des échéances serrées ;
  • Connaissance pratique du cadre juridique canadien en matière d’environnement (fédéral, provincial et municipal) ;
  • Capacité de gérer l’incertitude ;
  • Bonne connaissance des normes ISO 14001 : 2015 et ISO 50001 : 2018 ;
  • Excellente maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office
