(Remote) Financial Analyst Jobs

Harris Computer Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to work closely with the Business Unit Controller in providing financial support and analysis for the division. The successful applicant will be working in the Healthcare group along with a team of highly motivated people who are engaged in continuous improvement.

This position will be based in our Ottawa, Ontario Canada headquarters or remotely.

What your job will be:

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts;
• Preparing information requests and responding to questions during quarterly reviews and the annual audit; and
• Special projects & ad hoc reporting as required.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes by working with the Finance team to meet reporting deadlines;
• Providing support to the divisional EVP and VP’s as needed;
• Coordinate with the Finance group to ensure that intercompany transactions are recorded accurately;
• Help with forecasting of net revenues and operating expenses;

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

What we are looking for:

• Proven communication, both written and oral, and proven people skills;
• Bachelor’s degree with specialization in accounting
• Ability to work autonomously and balance contesting demands;
• Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing business environment;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel;
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• CPA or CPA student considered an asset
• Excellent data-based, research and problem solving skills;
• Knowledge of Great Plains is considered an asset
