Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for new revenue development and creation of demand for VingCard, and Elsafe brands in the hospitality segment for the specified region – to include: (Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland)


Primary Focus and Deliverables:

  • Provide necessary support and assistance to General Manager to include attending senior-level meetings at properties when called upon, technical consultations and prospecting/lead-sharing.
  • Develop and maintain a network of agencies that sell, install and can service customers in the Quebec market.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with Key Regional Account Properties, Strategic Regional Properties, Property Management & Ownership Companies.
  • Drive new revenue through and maintain sustained business relationships with Key Regional Accounts, Strategic Regional Properties, Property Management & Ownership Companies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing and potential customers and concentrate major selling effort on those customers that represent the greatest opportunity for volume growth.
  • Technical aptitude (extensive training is given but must be able to learn new technology).
  • Create quarterly and annual action plans based on opportunities identified; actively support sales and technical training needs of existing customers; investigate customer complaints and make recommendations to management.
  • Maintain proficiency on all sales and technical aspects of products.
  • Manage relationships, at a regional level, with purchasing company accounts, ownership and management companies, distributors etc.
  • Responsible for prospecting, proposing, and closing sales to new and existing hospitality customers – to include Key Regional Accounts, Strategic Regional Properties, Property Management & Ownership Companies in the geographic territory assigned.
  • Maintain appropriate records in CRM system documenting customer interaction.
  • Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to a Sales Department.
  • Make effective sales calls to existing or prospective customers and grow territory sales.
  • Provide reports, sales projections, trip summary, customer visit report and other documentation on an established basis.
  • Work well independently (in a tight time line), self motivated, and takes initiative.



Skill Requirements and Performance Criteria:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must reside in the Greater Toronto area.
  • Demonstrable existing relationships and experience working with hotel ownership groups or developers is important
  • Self-driven, energetic and ambitious.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience working/building relationships with clients ranging from C-level to front line managers
  • Understanding of hospitality technology and integrations, preferably related to PMS, mobile and Cloud solutions or other hospitality focused products or services to the hotel industry is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of building successful client relationships.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Ideal candidate will have a background of meeting and exceeding quota in technical or hospitality sales, preferably both.
  • Must successfully pass 80% product certification tests.
  • Strong business and technical aptitude.
  • Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Must have a successful history of managing and growing sales revenues.
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of working under minimal direct supervision.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Successful track record of business development in a regional, multi-state territory.
  • BS degree in business or similar field, or minimum of 5 years experience in Sales.
  • Experience selling technology within the hospitality industry; hotel and lodging sector.
