Job Description

The Region Lead will represent LifeWorks and Retirement Consulting in the Quebec marketplace. They will be responsible for managing the broader Consulting business, clients and people within their region, understanding and adapting to regional market requirements and conditions, while driving collaboration and growth. The regional leader will be actively involved in fulfilling the vision of the line of business and will work closely with each of the strategy practice leads.
Responsibilities:
  • Promote brand in region through attendance in external events, seminars, sponsorships, etc.
  • Collaborate with all practice leaders within consulting to deliver solutions to clients in the region.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders in the market across multiple lines of service.
  • Drive strategy for NPS and client satisfaction across portfolio of clients in region.
  • Provide strong leadership and promote a dynamic working environment for Consulting team members in region including staffing decisions, utilization, roles and responsibilities, client team allocations and tracking progress of annual objectives and business goals while mentoring and coaching, as needed.
  • Be accountable for financial performance in the region, including cost/spending, pricing, write-offs and recovery for clients in order to improve overall profitability and efficiencies in accordance with business objectives.
  • Communicate with leadership, providing field input on market trends, competitor analysis and other business intelligence.
  • Keep up to date with sales performance, forecasts, market trends and course correct as needed.
  • Lead regional go-to-market activities and establish strategies for services that meet both current and future client needs to achieve business objectives, in collaboration with the other leaders and partners.
Requirements
  • A collaborative approach treating internal and external stakeholders as partners while sharing the common goal of advancing the business.
  • At least 15 years of business experience that includes 10+ years of relevant industry experience in pension or consulting.
  • Ability to speak English and French is required.
  • Drives innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Fosters teamwork, collaboration and respect for others.
  • Builds and maintains relationships and networks.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with demonstrated skills in business development within the broader benefits sector.
  • A leader with a proven track record of success in leading and expanding a pension consulting practice is preferred.
  • Mentor and coach, who demonstrates patience and intuition.
  • A proven business builder with demonstrated capacity to manage through business cycles.
  • An undergraduate degree in actuarial studies, commerce or business administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with diverse groups at all levels within the organization - the incumbent will be a seasoned, mature executive who can draw on a range of successful commercial experiences.
  • Proven leader with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
