QUALITY MANAGER - Aerospace


Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace. We are currently seeking a qualified Quality Manager to work on leading-edge technology. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.


Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)


Job Type: Permanent; Full time


Responsibilities


  • Planning and management of supplier assessment/selection programs.
  • Lead internal and surveillance audits for AS9100 compliance of engineering design and manufacturing.
  • Champion quality management process definition, implementation, and improvement activities.
  • Develop and sustain systems compliant with AS9100.
  • Identify and/or recommend priorities for continuous improvement matters in manners consistent with the overall business strategy.
  • Provide reporting and assessment to the Management team regarding Quality Management.


Basic Qualifications


  • Direct experience with developing QMS processes would be an asset.
  • Proven experience in non-conformance handling, root cause and failure analysis.
  • Self-motivated to develop and maintain skill set and product knowledge to maximize value and to deliver quality services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a quality management role in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Logical problem-solving approach, ability to clearly communicate business problems and proposed solutions.
  • Familiarity with planning and conducting QMS audits as well as generating audit reports compliant with AS9100.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present in a group setting.
  • Proven experience in developing, enforcing, and monitoring quality policies in product development, supply chain, and manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Robust knowledge and awareness of certification planning and execution within the aerospace regulation domain.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience in N299 organization is an asset.
  • Proactive in risk/opportunity identification and management
  • Prior experience leading AS9100 surveillance audit
  • Subject matter expert in PPAP, APQP NPI
