As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced Quality Inspection to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing.


Summary:


This position reports to the Supervisor or Manager of the department. The incumbent ensures that the product is run to process and quality as set up and ensures compliance with standard procedure (Shipping procedure, product identification and control of nonconforming product).


This is a unionized position - Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days.


The pay rate is $21.83


Shifts may vary


Shift Premium where applicable


This is Day shift – Hours are: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm


Role:


  • Inspect in-process and final products
  • Knowledge and application of welding symbols and engineering drawings
  • Strong work ethic and committed to quality
  • Strong team building and communication skills
  • Aptitude and potential to develop skills
  • Perform product and process quality audits
  • Report audit findings using quality documents
  • Advise of shortage in materials/goods to be shipped
  • Willingness to do physical, repetitive & detailed work
  • Interpretation of welding procedure data sheets, work instructions, work orders and other manufacturing documents


Requirements:


  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings and other manufacturing documents
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have experience in quality inspection, audit and metal fabrication processes
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in inspection and quality environment
  • Require Lift truck license (department dependent)
  • Computer skills are an asset
  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education
