BOEING CANADA OPERATIONS LTD. is seeking Nondestructive Inspection Technician A (NDI – Tech A), Working out of Winnipeg, Manitoba location on Murray Park Road. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with non-destructive inspection or test techniques and certification training.


Boeing Winnipeg is the largest composites manufacturer in Canada and has more than 1,000 employees. Our site manufactures parts for all commercial airplane programs at our 600,000+ square foot facility.


Determining Duties And Responsibilities


  • Perform nondestructive test such as ultrasonic, radiographic, eddy current, liquid penetrant, borescope etc. as required. Perform nondestructive test of any materials submitted to the group such as various plastics, metals, laminates, composite bonding, composite honeycomb structures, etc., for conformance to specifications and quality requirements. Instruct assigned lower classified employees in conducting nondestructive inspections and tests.
  • Determine and interpret whether materials tested are within specified limits.
  • Direct and perform a variety of nondestructive inspections and test of production and developmental processes and materials.
  • Perform equipment standardization checks, system performance checks and calibration checks, set up and operate any test equipment as required including through transmission ultrasonic equipment and radiographic equipment.
  • Perform nondestructive tests using specified procedures and techniques, and maintain test data as required.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This is a full time; permanent position and the selected candidate must be able to work on the Evening or Midnight shift, as assigned.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection)
  • Physical ability to stand for duration of a shift; able to lift, carry, move and manipulate a large volume (approx. 30 lbs.) and variety of parts
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Successfully completed all required CGSB Level 2 Written and Practical examinations in UT (Ultrasonic), must be current OR Successfully completed a 2-year technical diploma through a CGSB Authorized Training Organization, must be current
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods


Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


  • Currently have your CGSB Level 2 Certification in UT (Ultrasonic)
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
