About The Job
Job summary
This role lies within the wider Organisational Development (OD) team and will be focused on supporting training activities. The role involves administering and supporting the delivery of Ofsted’s training activities, ensuring work is of a consistent high quality. The role includes responding to customer queries and providing high quality customer service.
The Apprenticeship:
You will undertake a fully funded Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification in Business Administration. Over the 18-24 months of the apprenticeship-training programme, you will develop skills and knowledge that will support you in a wide range of duties.
Every 6 to 8 weeks, you’ll have one-to-one sessions with a tutor to get you thinking about how to apply the learning to workplace scenarios, allowing you to build up a useful portfolio of tools and techniques.
Over the duration of your apprenticeship, you will spend a minimum of 20% (1 working day) of your time at work completing off-the-job learning.
When you start the apprenticeship, you will be allocated a tutor to help you make the most of the training programme.
Eligibility Criteria
This role is open to graduates and candidates should NOT hold or have equivalent or higher qualifications in this field (Business Administration Level 3). We are particularly interested in your aptitude, enthusiasm and your potential, along with a passion for pursuing a career in public service. It is important that you do not already have the skills, knowledge and behaviours that the apprenticeship is designed to deliver.
Candidates holding a qualification at the same or a higher level to this apprenticeship are still eligible to apply for this vacancy but should note that they might not be eligible for the apprenticeship training if their prior qualification is in a similar subject area.

Please refer to the job specification for further information.

Benefits

Our expectation is that you will spend at least 60% of your time working in your allocated office, or at external meetings or events. The exact balance will depend on the nature of your role and the suitability of your home environment, and will be discussed and agreed with your line manager.
Ofsted is committed to maintaining employee health and wellbeing, whether it is physically, emotionally, financially or socially, and offers a range of benefits to support employees in this. Such benefits include the option to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme, professional and personal development opportunities, 32.5 annual leave days per annum (plus eight days public holiday) and access to counselling and advisory services.
