About The Job
Job summary
The People Group provides the full range of human resources to Ofsted. The Group comprises six teams: HR Business Partnering; HR Services; HR Strategy; Health, Safety and Well-being; Organisational Development; and Talent and Resourcing.
Organisational Development  is responsible for the development, procurement and delivery of all learning activities for APT and inspectors. This includes development and maintenance of online learning tools, management of the relationship with Civil Service Campus for Government, procurement, event management, and/or delivery of central and team-specific learning activities, and the monitoring of all mandatory training across the organisation. The team is also responsible for talent management and succession planning across the organisation, including early talent programmes and apprenticeships. Finally, the team also leads on equality and diversity matters which affect the workforce. 
This role is part of the Inspector Training team, within Organisational Development, part of People group.

The key responsibilities of the role are outlined below. However, this is an overview of the role and is not exhaustive. Ofsted reserves the right to assign other duties appropriate to the B3 APT grade as required.
  • To manage training venues and co-ordinate arrangements such as catering and equipment to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • To process purchase orders, payments, track spend and produce reports using Ofsted's finance system ensuring policy and procedures are followed to a high standard.
  • To manage large scale events on site, ensuring swift and confident decision making to provide a customer solution focused service and ensure smooth running with positive impact.
  • To manage queries about inspection development options and activities, providing advice and deciding courses of action helpfully and professionally.
  • To support management of course booking processes and Learning Management Systems, writing and despatching invitations and agendas, dealing with course correspondence professionally.
  • To provide project support for inspection selection and training for Ofsted Inspectors developing procedures to ensure high quality, timeliness and accuracy .
  • To effectively liaise with National Trainer and Remit Lead Inspection Trainers to ensure the provision of high quality, well organised, learning and development interventions.
  • Liaise with National Lead Trainers and Lead Remit Trainers, presenters and venue management to ensure provision of proactive onsite support during events.
