Role: QA Engineer

Title: Associate/AVP/VP

Location: Wissen Technology, Montreal, Canada(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid)- 3 days/week onsite required – No Exceptions

Job Brief:

·A good programming knowledge of Java.

·Great understanding of Microservices, RESTful architecture and APIs, Messaging, HTTP & HTTPS protocols.

·Demonstrated experience in leading automation efforts on large-scale software projects or deliverables

·Experience with using Agile development methodologies

·Experience using Postman, Cypress (or similar like selenium, protractor), Cucumber (or similar), Junit, Mockito, Spring Test, TestNG and automated API testing

·Hands on experience in writing unit test, integration test, acceptance test, stress test and regression test packs.

·Demonstrated experience in measuring and reporting quality-related metrics to identify trends and proactively solve problems

·Strong experience with QA methodologies and software testing techniques and tools

·Demonstrated experience in automation strategy implementation, planning, and automation framework design

·Experience using test cases & test execution management tools issues management tools (like Jira) and development environments (like Visual Studio, IntelliJ, or Eclipse)

·Experience working closely with development and business teams.

·Ability to challenge the existing/proposed testing suits/processes along with the proposal of better solution.

·Great oral and written communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

·Collaborate with developers, product managers, and engineering managers to understand features and their implementation details and challenges.

·Understand customer usage models and then develop and execute automation strategy and plans.

·To develop great quality scripts by automating functional and non-functional test cases, design CI/CD pipelines, and develop automation frameworks.

·Capable of understanding software internals, debug problems, and write automated tests using Java and/or user-level test automation tools.

·A natural problem solver with a passion for automation enjoys working with developers and QA Engineers to enable them to develop automation and Continuous Integration of code, enjoys finishing projects, and obsesses about the quality.

·Develop high-quality test automation to drive lower operational costs and faster deployments.
