Role:PR Account Specialist (2 - 3 years of experience)

About the role:P&C is currently recruiting for a dynamic and confident Account Specialist who has done a little bit of everything. As an Account Specialist, you will help manage accounts and support coordinators with pitching and sourcing wherever needed.
Roles and responsibilities of an Account Specialist include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Develop media and influencer lists, and pitch effectively to deliver exceptional program results
- Track hours and expenses
- Participate in new business pitches
- Seed influencers for program campaigns and negotiate influencer contracts
- Develop press releases, media advisories, key messages and editorial calendars
- Provide support on day-to-day client communications and serve as an effective account lead on select accounts with limited support from Account Manager
- Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving 360 media landscape and actively foster relationships with relevant media and influencers
- Coordinate events with ninja-like precision and attention to detail
About you:
- Excellent organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects within established deadlines
- Strong media relations skills and relationships, and track record of successfully delivering measurable results
- A post-graduate degree in public relations, marketing communications, journalism, business or similar background
- Corporate communications experience will be considered an asset
- Experience working with lifestyle and corporate accounts/clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong technical and creative writing skills are a must
- 2 - 3 years of directly related experience; an agency background is a MUST
