Upon completion of the 3-month internship program, exceptional candidates may be considered for a full-time position based on their performance.
Position: CanEast PR Firm Internship
Location: 207-89 Bloor Street West
Toronto ON, M5S 1M1
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating product mailouts
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports and analysis
- Assisting social media campaigns and execution including Facebook, Instagram
- Conduct research and analysis to support client projects and campaigns
- Assisting in administrative tasks such as:
- Collaborate with the team on brainstorming sessions and strategic planning
- Available to work evenings and weekends when necessary
- Day-to-day office operations
- Media management and content creation effort
- Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials
- Media monitoring and clipping
- Updating coverage reports
- Participating in media events
- Assembly of media kits
- Researching media contacts and updating the media list
- Client research and development
- Support the coordination of events, press conferences, and media relations activities
Qualifications:
- Previous internship experience is a bonus
- Extremely proactive with the ability to provide prompt follow-through on projects
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Incumbent must have the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- An organized self-starter capable of working alone or in groups
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate in a clear, concise and compelling manner
- Second language proficiency is an asset
- EChat marketingSolid knowledge of Mail Chimp, Cision, or other database programs
- Extremely organized with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Red
- Knowledge of major beauty and lifestyle media and social media throughout Canada
- Experience in sponsored ad campaigns is a big plus.
- Proficiency with iWork programs as well as all social media platforms
- Recently graduated from or currently enrolled in a program in public relations or a related discipline
