Project Supervisor Jobs

Alpa Pre-Engineered Panel Systems Inc., a part of the Alpa Lumber Group, is a leading provider of pre-engineered walls and floors to GTA home builders. We work with a team of designers, engineers, and production staff to help create the communities we live in. We are currently looking for a Project Supervisor to add to our team in our Courtice location.

The Project Supervisor would be responsible for coordinating between job sites, the office and the plant to ensure projects are completed accurately while maintaining quality. The incumbent will be able to respond to and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner using their analytical skills and construction experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist and coach designers on detailing issues or errors;
• Attend site meetings as required;
• Respond to inquiries regarding quality and drawing issues;
• Review project plans and identify errors that would affect production and make necessary recommendations;
• Maintain logs and reports of all reported issues;
• Mentor production designers; answering questions and assisting with design recommendations;
• Liaise with Plant Managers to ensure quality and consistency of products;
• Investigate and resolve design or engineering issues with technical staff if required;
• Other duties as assigned.
• Communicate and liaise with outside vendors, sites and builders;

Skills & Qualifications:

• Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or Construction Technology diploma is an asset;
• Panel experience is an asset;
• Able to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans;
• Advanced computer skills;
• Experience with MiTek is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills;
• Familiarity with building codes within Ontario;
• 5+ years’ experience in construction industry, specifically with new construction home builds;
