Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is a worldwide leader in water recovery, treatment, and reuse. We design and supply a range of water systems, from food and beverage applications to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment.
The North American Project Operations team is responsible for a wide range of core processes and strategic programs, including Return on Experience (REX), Customer Feedback, Project Controls, Project Cash Operations, and PO Central Operations. As a part of the North American Project Operations team, the Project Controls Analyst will report to the Project Controls Leader and will be responsible for working with Project Management and Finance teams, to ensure that projects are executed seamlessly and within compliance.
As a Project Controls Analyst, you will work with Project Managers on the governance of our projects in our tools and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Identify schedule risks and opportunities, as they arise.
- Process purchase requisitions, change orders, billing plans, and project invoices.
- Ensure alignment between the Primavera project schedules and the dates in SAP Project Systems.
- Identify and support opportunities for improvement within Project Controls.
- Liaise with multiple departments on the execution of key SAP processes impacting projects.
- Maintain project schedules in Primavera, SAP Project Systems structure, and data accuracy.
- Confirm when activities are done in our systems and close projects in SAP and Primavera.
- Perform goods receipts on drop shipments, investigate the root cause of missing financial transactions, and highlight issues to be resolved to relevant functions in the organization.
Minimum requirements:
- Five (5) to 10 years of experience in project controls, project planning, or a related field
- Knowledge of project flow and critical path activities.
- English fluent
- Experience with SAP Project Systems and billing sales orders is required
- Knowledge of Primavera and project scheduling is required
Useful skills or abilities:
- Experience with project execution and project planning – direct experience in water treatment preferred
- Advanced project planning experience is an asset
- Clear, concise communication and presentation skills
- Persistent problem solver
- Able to work in a matrix organization and has proven collaboration skills
- Team player, with the ability to exercise good judgment under changing conditions and/or under pressure
