Position Overview:

Trillium Health Partners is currently in the planning stages of a long term infrastructure plan announced by the Ontario government which has dedicated significant funding to support the construction of new hospital projects across Ontario. As part of this plan, THP is growing the multi-disciplinary team that will lead planning for the redevelopment and expansion of both the Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre sites. With constant inputs on design and planning considerations from all the respective expertise on the team, our goal is to work together to ultimately produce a holistic and inclusive design.

Trillium Health Partners is seeking project planner to join its Capital Planning and Redevelopment portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Planning and Design, the project planner will support the project team during the procurement, implementation and construction phase of Trillium HealthWorks projects at Queensway Health Centre (Q site).

Q Site project is envisioned to create a new post-acute inpatient tower at Queensway Health Centre including clinical and non-clinical support programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs cross-functional duties as assigned and/or requested; performing other duties consistent with the job classification as required
• Organize, co-ordinate and document all user group, consultant, contractor engagement and follow ups;
• Ensures that input from all stakeholders, including support functions are considered during the implantation of projects such as Infection Prevention and Control, IT, Parking, Security, etc.
• Development and maintenance of tools and techniques for reporting and tracking.
• Support Manager Construction, Project Leads, and Senior project mangers with project activiites.
• Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals on a wide variety of topics suitable for internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Act as the hospital’s representative to coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team of, department stakeholders, ,and consultants in the development of upcoming hospital redevelopment projects;

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent project management and organizational skills;
• Able to work effectively independently and with a team
• Strong planning and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• University or College degree, preferably in Architecture or Design. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good competencies using Microsoft applications including Excel and Word, in addition to computer assisted drafting (CAD) and vector based design software.
