The impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As the Project Management Lead, supported by the Director, Privacy & innovation, you will materially influence the ongoing development of TELUS’ innovation in Data & Trust with the development, deployment, and use of new digital technologies and new processes to govern emerging technologies.

You will collaborate with members of the Data & Trust Office and business stakeholders to launch and operationalize initiatives that will contribute to the execution of TELUS’ strategic objectives. You will be responsible for managing the implementation of enterprise level projects in a multi-faceted, complex, and cross-functional environment.

You will be an integral part of our team and will bridge your creative ideas with business objectives to enhance and sustain our first-class data program. In doing so, you will be instrumental in advancing our reputation for being trustworthy, using a responsible human-centric approach to ensure that we use data to deliver remarkable business and social outcomes, always in a manner that demonstrates TELUS’ commitment to putting our customers and communities first.

Here’s how:

• Lead implementation of key data-related strategic initiatives using formal and agile project management tools and methodologies, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities, resource and budget constraints, dependencies, contingency planning and change management
• Evaluate and report on program performance using established success metrics
• Escalate project risks promptly, and with a sense of urgency, and ensure that mitigating controls are effective to protect our brand on delivering trustworthy outcomes
• Develop and document processes that standardize best practices in project management and support an agile development methodology
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful launch and operationalization of strategic initiatives that will contribute to the execution of TELUS’ growth strategy
• Agility to meet the changing needs of the organization and a fast-paced, ambitious team where priorities shift but the focus on the mission is steadfast

• Known for your ability to influence and negotiate effectively and to be a persuasive advocate
• Appreciated for your excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, and your ability to distill complex and/or ambiguous problems into clear, actionable requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in project management
• Noted for the ability to take initiative and be proactive in identifying opportunities to support and enhance respect for our program
• Project Management designation, such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent
