Kalesnikoff Mass Timber’s new state-of-the-art mass timber production facility is the most-advanced, fully-integrated, multi-species mass timber facility in North America, producing exceptionally high-quality cross-laminated timber and glulam beams. Mass timber is poised to transform building design and wood innovation here in North America as it has in Europe, and we’re thrilled to play a role in this evolution. We are hiring experienced, skilled and passionate team members to support our growing operations.
Mass Timber Project Coordinator role and objective:
The Mass Timber Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the company’s participation in mass timber construction projects across North America, delivering advanced solutions and products for North American and international mass timber projects from initial schematic design through to installation. This position will be based out of our Vancouver office.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Sales and the Project Management teams to develop strategies and processes to execute and deliver integrated mass timber solutions to projects across North America.
- Maintain project schedules in conjunction with our clients and production team to achieve all project milestones.
- Manage the submittals process, ensuring clear documentation, timely approvals and organized recordkeeping.
- Manage the procurement process including relevant subcontractors (ie. steel/misc. metals, installation, etc.), and suppliers, etc.
- Provide alternate design, specification and construction solutions when problems are encountered, resolve issues and provide constructive cost competitive options and possible ways forward to secure contracts.
- Support the planning, implementation, and management of mass timber projects from beginning to end.
- Maintain and track all financial aspects of projects including budget to actual forecasts and construction cash flows.
- Monitor internal project specific design, manufacturing, purchased materials and service costs throughout the process to ensure target cost allocations and project margins are achieved.
Qualifications:
- Experience in mass timber or other prefabricated construction technologies considered an asset
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in construction, engineering, wood processing or related field preferred
- Proficient in applicable software (i.e., Cad Works, Revit, MS Office) considered an asset
- Strong organizational and planning skills
