Our client is a full service Cold Room, Controlled Environment and Exterior wall cladding installation contractor that focus on general contracting and project management services in the industrial and commercial sector. They have been around for 60 plus years and service the logistics, food, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, along with some other commercial and industrial clients. Their office is located in Mississauga, Ontario and work as a collaborative group when it comes to running and completing these construction projects.

Your new role

Our client is looking for a Project Coordinator who will be the primary point-person responsible for coordinating the planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. In essence, this individual is accountable for keeping the project moving forward from the planning to completion stage. The Project Coordinator works closely with the Director of Construction and Construction Manager to monitor the projects’ process, ensuring we surpass customer expectations. They will coordinator drawings with the design team, focus on project startup, do change orders and ensure they are signed off by clientele and track goals and objectives of respective projects.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful project coordinator candidate will have sound construction knowledge and proven project coordinator experience. 3-5 years doing design build ICI construction projects, strong communication skills and proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings is imperative. This individual will be a self starter; they will be able to bring in construction principles and processes from previous work and be results-oriented. They will have the ability to work individually or part of a team. Along with that they will have a high standard of ethics and and integrity and be adaptable and flexible, handling any changes with accuracy or issues with a positive attitude.
