Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Planner – Programme Support Officer to join our Operations division as part of our Fokker Elmo Canada team. The position will be supporting our ongoing Final Assembly Line activities with one of our main customers in the Montreal area – providing a unique experience for an Aerospace career. The planner will be reporting to the Program Manager while working closely with the Supervisor and Team Leads to manage the activities of a growing team of 20 operators.
We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do. To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and be a proficient Microsoft user. You will be a team player able to work co-dependently with others in the team. The role will may include some international Travel to our Dutch sites.
Job Responsibilities
  • Intensively liaise with customer in daily meetings
  • Coordinate priorities internally between Operations team: Manufacturing engineering, logistics and team leads
  • Maintain the work planning database
  • Point of Contact with customer for on-site scheduling
  • Active involvement in problem solving
  • Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are applied and that their assigned areas are a model of a world class healthy and safe working environment
  • Plan the execution of repair jobs based on customer priority, resource availability and access to the aircraft assembly line
