Procurement Coordinator

(Full-Time – Vancouver, BC)

As the Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of materials and products across the organization. You will work closely with all departments, ensuring they have the supplies and materials they need in order to operate smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor logistics costs, identify cost – saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize transportation and warehousing
  • Identify reliable vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favourable terms, and timely deliveries.
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are managed and paid on time to solidify strong supplier relationships.
  • Manage the shipping expectations for all purchases with relevant freight companies.
  • Keep track of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Develop and implemented procurement strategies to ensure availability of raw materials, components, and equipment.
  • Negotiate pricing to ensure we’re getting a quality product at a great price
  • Coordinate deliveries of all purchasing to central JD Sports warehouse or direct to site shipments.
  • Coordinate delivery of supplies from local and international vendors to our warehouse
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers and customs agent to manage import/ export processes and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Partner with Design team to develop products
  • Manage the sourcing and supply of all purchases required for retail, warehouse and HQ balancing quality and cost.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is available to support day-to-day business activities.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the overall improvement of the procurement function.


Experience

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
