Privacy And Information Management Independent Consultant

Cenera is seeking independent consultants to join our highly knowledgeable and experienced team of privacy and information management consultants. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to assess and provide cutting-edge solutions to information governance problems for a diverse range of public and private sector clients.

Projects may include:

• Assisting in the implementation of information management policies and providing training and change management support for records management
• Conducting privacy gaps assessments, information security assessments, privacy impact assessments, and policy review and development for clients
• Analyzing business functions and providing recommendations for information organization, storage, retrieval, and retention
• Providing advisory support on access to information requests, privacy breach investigations, and expert services for FOIP, PIPEDA, and HIA compliance
• Delivering on-demand training sessions on provincial FOIP for public bodies, as well as health sector and private sector privacy training

Your skills and experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
• Strong knowledge of relevant privacy and information management regulations and best practices
• Possess a post-secondary and/or professional degree relevant to information privacy, security, and/or governance
• Demonstrated experience in completing consulting projects, including client relations, will greatly contribute to your success in this role
• Remote work is possible for a significant portion of the job, with occasional in-person attendance based on project requirements
• Ability to work independently on a contract basis and provide expert services to both Cenera and our clients
• Have recognized standing as a privacy or information management professional with a minimum of five years of direct experience in the field

Consultants within Canada, who can commit significant time during business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mountain), are preferred.
