Develops and manages strong internal relationships with various business teams, working collaboratively with stakeholders to meet EDC’s access-related responsibilities.

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $79,424 to $105,899 plus performance-based incentive #L

Independently handles response to access and personal information requests in accordance with legislated requirements and EDC policies and procedures.

Designs and facilitates communications and awareness initiatives to inform internal stakeholders on access-related responsibilities.

Minimum 5 years experience in access to information, privacy or similar experience (e.g., freedom of information, data protection laws).

Management experience is an asset

A minimum of four years of experience in a privacy or access to information-related role

Recent experience in privacy law or administrative law

Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults

Information Access and Privacy Analyst (Continuous)

$54.02 per hour, Pay Grade 17

University degree in computer science, information management, or equivalent experience

Strong knowledge of electronic document management systems, particularly MS365 (SharePoint, Teams)

Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of all information management processes and methods within the company

Collaborate with various IT stakeholders to ensure the proper functioning and availability of electronic document management systems (EDMS)

Support business units in document management and conduct information searches in an operational support context

Perform analyses of document needs and develop new EDMS features tailored to specific team requirements

Shares responsibility for advising program managers and employees on the requirements of Privacy and ATI legislation and encouraging adherence.

Completed post-secondary, preferably in a related field OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training

1 to 3 years of relevant functional experience

(If managing a team) One or more years’ experience managing people

One or more years of experience in a unionized environment an asset

Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs

Strong knowledge of relevant privacy and information management regulations and best practices

Assisting in the implementation of information management policies and providing training and change management support for records management

Remote work is possible for a significant portion of the job, with occasional in-person attendance based on project requirements

Demonstrated experience in completing consulting projects, including client relations, will greatly contribute to your success in this role

A thorough knowledge of Access to Information and Privacy Acts and other related legislation, regulations and policies.

6 months to 3 years of relevant experience.

Strong research and analytical skills and ability to apply those skills to deal with ATIP requests.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Administers the University’s responsibilities in responding to requests for access under the FOIPOP – receiving and evaluating applications.

Administers the process to facilitate the University’s reporting requirements under the Personal Information International Disclosure Protection Act.

Develops and delivers education and training for university faculty and staff in relation to the University’s privacy obligations and best practices.

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with approximately seven years’ related experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).

Training and knowledge of privacy and access to information laws and regulations.

Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Experience with negotiating complex Data Processing Agreements

* Strong drafting, analytical, and critical thinking skills, as well as commercial acumen

* Experience of working with global teams based in different jurisdictions.

Position Type: Contract, 6 Months (with high potential of extension)

* Respond to customer questionnaires and inquiries regarding the company’s privacy practices.

* Perform vendor privacy assessments to ensure compliance with the company’s privacy standards.

• Experience developing record series

• Knowledge of government procurement processes is an asset
