About The Opportunity

As a key member of Ceridian’s Global Privacy Office, the Privacy Program Manager is engaged in the design, implementation, and maintenance of some components of Ceridian’s global privacy program. He/she is also responsible for advising internal stakeholders- from Human Resources to Customer Support to enable the business to comply with privacy laws and internal policies, and further enhance Ceridian’s privacy posture in the marketplace. This role reports into the Senior Director, Privacy Operations.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Performs regular privacy assessments of business processes and Ceridian’s vendors to identify and mitigating risks
• Other duties as assigned
• Identifies areas of improvement in practices relative to managing data privacy and assist in designing strategies to address
• Provide privacy expertise within the incident management process
• Provide privacy guidance to internal business partners to ensure that privacy is built by design, into Ceridian’s products, services, and processes
• Compile metrics and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the global privacy program
• Manage and coordinate the response to external privacy inquiries including individual rights requests

Skills And Experience We Value

• Privacy certification preferred (CIPP-C, CIPP-US, CIPP-EU, CIPP-IT, CIPM)
• Solid knowledge of privacy laws and regulations generally, and specifically how they apply to the SaaS business model
• At least 5 years of experience in privacy / data protection or related compliance functions
• Superior communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly the ability to communicate with diplomacy, credibility, and confidence at all levels of the organization
• Ability to exercise good judgement, critical thinking, and balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations
• You are creative and passionate about privacy, a self-starter who can work as well independently as in team settings, and a believer in continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing aspects of a privacy or compliance program, including managing activities as per a project plan, communicating with stakeholders, and bringing together cross-functional teams and resources to execute towards a common goal
• University degree in related discipline required
• Knowledge of ISO and NIST frameworks as they relate to personal data and the privacy program
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

The range provided is in Canadian Dollars.
