Demonstrated knowledge of provincial legislation including but not limited to privacy

Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian Coding Standards for the collection of International Classification of Diseases and Interventions

Demonstrated knowledge of the current Discharge Abstracting Database for the collection of specified data elements

Knowledge of health information systems and database management, statistical calculations, and interpretation of reports from administrative and clinical databases.

Graduation from a recognized Health Information Management program.

Certified by the Canadian College of Health Information Management and eligible for active membership with the Canadian Health Information Management Association

10+ years of combined corporate, and/or strategy consulting experience with significant exposure to the technology/health industries

Collaborating closely with the senior leadership team and key experts to ensure the HBM portfolio realizes its annual goals

Partnering with internal teams to build an efficient governance structure and key performance indicators that tracks to program targeted outcomes

Anticipating ad hoc special strategic asks, working closely with delivery teams as required

Creating a collaborative environment, interacting with a broad range of people to foster robust working relationships

Recent knowledge and experience with health data and information requirements and applications inherent in health management.

Apply teaching and learning strategies using available technology including but not limited to learning management systems (Blackboard Ultra).

PhD preferred in health informatics, health information management/technology, health administration, health data analytics, population health, data/information governance, or another related field.

Serve on faculty committees as appropriate related to curriculum planning and diploma/degree requirements and other operational duties.

Ability to accept responsibility, exercise initiative and manage people effectively.

Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.

HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT (6 RESOURCES REQUIRED)

•Refine Health Records workflows as Advanced Capture is introduced (e.g. chart tracking and task queue management)

Inform design and participate in testing of referral and requisition management workflows
