Part-Time Bookkeeping Assistant (15 hours per week)Remote – ContractJob Descrip�onJob SummaryUnder the guidance of senior bookkeeping staff, andrepor�ng to the CEO, this key role provides bookkeeping and legal accoun�ng data entry and repor�ng of client finances. The Bookkeeping Assistantprepares records,reports, and ledgers in the designated so�ware u�lized by clients of the firm. Under the guidance of the CEO, they are also entrusted to execute financial procedures, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, month-end and year-endreports, GSTreturns, and bankreconcilia�ons.Du�es and Responsibili�es•Input data related to payables, expenses, invoicing, and receipts using a variety of online accoun�ng programs.•Process vendor invoices.•U�lizebusiness banking so�ware to manage incoming and outgoing funds electronically.•Reconcile credit card statements.•Prepare monthly bank reconcilia�ons for review. •Generate monthly reports as required:•Prepare quarterly CRAreports and summaries for filing.•Prepare year-end accounting reports as directed.•Other duties as assigned.Skills Required•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Proficient in Office 365 and Google Drive•Proficient in Quickbooks Online•Proficient in Zoom and Microsoft Teams platforms•Familiarity with online banking transactions and software including EFTs, Wire payments, and business banking portals•Excellent organizational, time management and analytical skills•Ability to multi-task and handle different projects simultaneously•Excellent judgement and discretion to handle confidential information Other: •Hard wired internet access •Dedicated virtual office space•Current Criminal Record check•3 Professional References
