Optometric Assistant- West Edmonton Mall

Clearly is seeking a dynamic individual to add to the success of our Retail team at our West Edmonton Mall team as an Optometric Assistant.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Ensure exam rooms and retail areas are tidy at all times
• Trial lens ordering and stock managing
• Act as liaison between patient, Eyewear Consultants and doctor
• Other tasks as assigned
• Manage and Maintain clinic reception
• Assist patients and customers in selecting, adjusting and sales of glasses
• Manage clinic patient flow
• Greet visitors and ensure patients are checked in
• Answer front desk telephone line and direct calls to appropriate persons
• Conduct pretesting for patients' eye exams and contact lens training
• Shifts will be various; will include weeknights and weekends
• Clinic and store statistics and analytics

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:

• Good sense of humor and positive attitude go a long way
• 2-3 years of experience as an Optometric Assistant, as asset
• Possess a pleasant and professional demeanor
• Detail oriented with strong organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dedicated team player and self-motivated
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions
• Ability to type 50 wpm
• Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
