Operations & Marketing Assistant - Summer Student

BinMates Inc. is an online marketplace that connects home and vacation property owners with reliable and trustworthy individuals in their community to manage their waste hauling needs. We believe in the ultimate end-to-end user experience, where our customers not only find it easy to sign up for our services, but also enjoy the process. We are seeking a reliable and responsible candidate to join our team in a hybrid role, where the successful candidate will work from home as well as on the road. This position requires access to a vehicle, and starting between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. twice a week on average.

Job Details:

• As part of the role, you would be responsible for bin-rollouts and roll-backs. You will visit our customers' properties twice a week on average, starting between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to roll out their bins prior to collection. Later in the afternoon, around 3-3:30 pm, you will return to roll the bins back to their original location. On-the-job training would be provided.

In between roll-outs and roll-backs, you will:

• Participate in weekly meetings with the leadership team to discuss deliverables.
• Create and design regular email content to be sent to our existing leads. Access to MailChimp will be provided.
• Utilize digital marketing tools to implement a social media strategy to acquire new customers and reach a wider audience in our service areas (Vancouver and Toronto areas).
• Create and design regular social media content to be posted on our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages. Access to Canva will be provided.

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to candidates who live on the North Shore.
• Morning availability
• Must be enrolled in a full-time post secondary Business or marketing related program
• A reliable vehicle
• Eligibility to work in Canada

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision
• Must be comfortable with administrative tasks such as email, phone calls, and customer acquisition.
• Must be physically fit and able to roll waste bins

This is a summer student position with flexible hours up to 30 hours a week. The compensation for this position will be $20/hr.
