Position: Operations Manager – Warehouse and Customer Service

Location: Vaughan


Warehouse Operations Manager – Join this rapidly growing distribution client in Vaughan!


We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at a fast-growing distribution client located in Vaughan. As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient operational processes and controls across multiple sites. Your focus will encompass health and safety protocols, stock controls, order management, customer service, employee training, development and retention, continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving weekly KPI measurements to drive both short-term and long-term business goals.


Key Responsibilities:


- Oversee daily operations of multi-site facilities, optimizing processes and implementing initiatives to reduce costs, maximize profitability, enhance safety, improve overall quality, and develop a comprehensive center operations strategy

- Lead, train, and coach teams of Warehouse Supervisors, Customer Service Representatives, and indirect reports to ensure smooth operations and high performance

- Enforce health and safety standards and policies, ensuring compliance across all locations

- Monitor and manage inventory controls, ensuring proper reconciliation with the SAP WMS system, accurate cycle counts, and efficient stock management

- Coordinate and assign truck routes and tasks effectively to ensure timely and efficient operations

- Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization and with external customers to achieve business results

- Review and communicate weekly KPI results to assigned locations, tracking progress towards targets

- Evaluate stock levels and classifications to optimize inventory management

- Uphold customer service standards consistently across all locations

- Establish and maintain standardized processes throughout all locations

- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

- Train key personnel on processes, systems, and best practices

- Must not be afraid to investigate and find out root causes to issues that arise in the operation

- Execute additional projects and duties as assigned


Requirements:


- At least 5 years of experience in the Warehouse and Distribution sector

- Previous distribution start up experience highly desired

- Naturally curious personality – you want to understand how things operate and what is required and needed on your team to get things done

- Must be able to travel across Canada when new operations are being set up

- Previous experience managing a team of order management/customer care, supply chain, logistics, and inventory management

- College Diploma or higher education preferred

- Proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and CRM

- Exceptional communication, listening, and public speaking skills

- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of training and motivating teams

- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Strong sense of urgency

- Must be excited to know how everything works and utilize the tools that we have or suggest ways to improve processes

- High sales aptitude and self-motivation

- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for success

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills

- Valid driver's license and passport

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
