Job description:
The Operations Assistant will provide sales support and service to advisors and foster relationships between aligned advisors and their customers. You’ll be required to collaborate across roles, regions and teams to ensure the overall sales support and operations value offering is being delivered. You’ll move each sale through the processes leading it to a successful close. You’ll manage all sales support functions of the operating advisor and assist in the development, acquisition, and placing of new business.
Responsibilities
- You’ll implement compliance regulations that will have a direct impact on the value of the advisor’s book of business
- You’ll develop and launch marketing initiatives as well as implementing new products, software and systems
- You’ll work strategically with the advisor firm to mine for opportunities with existing clients
- You’ll act as an advisors go-to specialist. You know how to cultivate strong advisor relationships and educate advisors
- You’ll identify areas for improvement, diagnose issues, and work to resolve them
- You’ll proactively identify and anticipate customer and advisors’ expectations and needs
Qualifications and Competencies:
· Preferred 3 years+ in the financial services or banking industry
- Post-Secondary education with an administrative or sales support background
· Proven track record in quick adoption of various technology platforms
- Knowledge in some financial services industry product lines (Life, Living Benefits, Group, Credit, Retirement, and Investment products)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in MS Office
- Knowledge in Canada Life product lines or lines of business an asset
- Knowledge of CRM and industry software an asset
