POSITION SUMMARY:
Designs, codes, tests and debugs systems software for a variety of business, scientific or engineering applications. Formulates the problem or objective and devises/implements program solutions. Documents procedures for use of completed program. Installs vendor supplied modifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Attributes
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent function-related training.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Inventory control, and Automation.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SQL Server, MS-SQL queries and stored procedures, database design, networking.
• Strong knowledge of Visual Basic, C#, .Net, Windows Forms, Web forms, MS Access, JavaScript, Power BI and Power Apps.
• Computer literacy in business applications and knowledge of ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and English communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(Optional) – Preferred but not required
• Experience with Solidat MES.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens), Kepware OPC Client and Server.
• Automotive manufacturing background
• Experience with Intermec label printers and Zebra scanners.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, QAD or Trans4m.
• Automotive manufacturing experience
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop and implement applications based on customer requirements.
• Overall responsibility for Kepware and SQL servers along with related applications.
• Responsible for ensuring the integrity of production and shipping schedules in ERP and in related software.
• Responsible for documenting Mytox application procedures, including communication, release verification, and updates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Performs all job functions abiding by the office/work standards, policies and procedures as outlines in the company handbook.
• Performs all job functions in alignment with IATF 16949 quality management standards and ISO 14001
• Actively participates in continuous improvement
• Maintain 5S standards in working environment
• Attend training based on Mytox’s internal training matrix
• Performs all job functions in a safe, healthful and environmentally conscious manner, abiding by all health, safety and environment rules and regulations as outlined in the company handbook
• Performs other duties as assigned or any reasonable request by management.
WORKING CONDITIONS & EFFORT
Environment, physical, mental and team efforts and other work requirements
• Mainly an office environment that is climate controlled
• At times, a manufacturing plant environment may be required which is a high-risk working area and not climate controlled. Personal protection equipment is provided by the company and must be worn at all time.
