Merchandiser-$22/Hr (Downtown Toronto, Contract)

We are currently recruiting for a contract, hourly Merchandiser position to support the Downtown Toronto region. This key role will support the Sales Representative, including LCBO stores and Grocery channel as it relates to the following:

• Staff Tastings: Support the sales rep with new products to taste staff and close the listing once complete. Achieve Targeted SD for Territory Manager. That includes: Staff Picks, Fridge Placements, Building Ad hoc Displays
• Relationship building with customers: Full support of retail and grocery customer relationships. Build and strengthen current relationship.
• Policing: will ensure every store within range is up to speed with current thematic and image activity.
• Material drop offs/IST’s: Full support of retail and grocery demands. Move product around to accommodate and generate more sales (retail).
• Merchandising: distribute and ensure all value add is on products within AA, A and B stores within zone.
• RTD: The incumbent will be fully responsible for selling and executing the LD/SD targets provided to them during the refreshment season including the building of such displays within Grocery Channel
• Grocery Merchandising: Support grocery by building and maintaining wine/cider displays within stores. This includes putting together POS, lifting multiple cases of wine and executing creative and shoppable displays.
• Maintain monthly objectives set by Sales Rep within both channels: reach and be accountable for monthly R2’s and communicate all relative info to sales rep

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Self-started and works well independently is imperative.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• College or University diploma preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop partnerships quickly, internally and with the customer.
• Must be SMART SERVED
• Flexibility within the grocery channel is a must
• Must have their own vehicle
• Previous beverage alcohol sales experience a definite asset.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs+
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no impeding offenses
• Detail oriented.
• Microsoft Office with Excel skills.
