The Opportunity:
Our client is a family owned manufacturer and distributor of fluid sealing and containment solutions. To service their rapidly expanding business in South West Ontario, we are aiding them in the search for a Technical Sales Representative. This position is an individual contributor role and can be based anywhere in South West Ontario, supported by our clients Sarnia location.
Product training will be provided; strong preference will be given to candidates with fluid sealing and technical/mechanical hands-on experience. A very competitive salary, commission package, bonus plan and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop CAPs (Customer Action Plans) for target accounts detailing product, sales cycle and expected ROI.
- Work closely with industry partners and their respective account managers to ensure full representation of the product line.
- You will demonstrate our client’s value proposition through the sale of our extensive sealing product lines, become a trusted problem-solving consultant while building and maintaining strong relationships with end users and distributors.
- You will be responsible for all aspects of managing and developing your sales territory, including budgeting, call planning, customer product presentations and training.
- You will work closely with the inside sales team and product specialists to communicate customer needs and market information.
- Daily face-to-face customer meetings, organized prospecting, follow-up and closing new business.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Exceptional sales, communication and territory management skills and a passion for building customer relationships.
- CRM experience an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to increase product penetration within key accounts.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with fluid sealing or valve and fitting instrumentation experience.
- 3 years of industrial sales experience in the OEM/MRO industrial sector.
- A demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Ability to travel throughout the territory; 75% day travel and approximately 25% overnight travel is required for this region.
- You are a problem solver with technical aptitude and the ability to sell on value.
- CET Designation, College (CEGEP) or University degree or equivalent work experience.
