Marketing Lead, Seed Treatment (2301865) - Calgary, AB

Where the Chemistry Happens… The Marketing Lead – Seed Treatment is a key member of the North America Seed Treatment Leadership Team. The incumbent is responsible for product marketing for Canada for the North America Seed Treatment business unit. The Marketing Lead – Seed Treatment will also manage a Product Marketing team who have individual responsibilities for Seed Treatment products and/ or crops.

Formula for Success: You Will…

• Through active leadership team member of the North American Seed Treatment Business unit – manage the complex matrix interdependencies between Global, Regional and Local country strategy and execution, continually looking for opportunities to improve efficiencies and find synergies that drive growth and results.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for business results of the seed treatment portfolio – financial forecasting, supply requirements, profitability management, business leadership update reporting.
• Collaborate with Canadian field sales and account management team – support creation of account plans and marketing support collateral to drive strategy, as well as ongoing field customer interaction to assess voice of customer and adjust marketing tactics and direction.
• Lead a team of Seed Treatment product managers and support their professional development via target agreement setting, development plan creation as well as ongoing coaching, feedback and mentoring.
• Lead a team of Seed Treatment Product Managers to develop and execute a short and mid-term strategic marketing growth plan for the Seed Treatment portfolio – includes operational marketing activities such as UVP development, launch plans, pricing, tactics and communications.
• Lead product portfolio development approach for seed treatment including identifying portfolio gaps, developing business cases for new R&D project investment and bringing new solutions to address unmet customer needs.

Qualifications

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

• Passion for the agricultural industry.
• Experience in the Seed Treatment industry is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in science (such as Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology), business or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in agri-business industry in roles of progressive responsibility (field sales, management, marketing, business development).
• Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, PhD) preferred.
