- Establish strong partnerships with South and North America Production teams to understand their needs to produce a high-quality Canola crop
- Facilitate communication: Serve as a key liaison between various departments and teams across different regions (North America & South America). Key touch points are ensuring accurate forecasting of supply is in place throughout the South America & US Toller growing season
- Coordinate and manage activities that require cross-functional involvement across multiple regions (North America & South America). This includes developing detailed plans, setting clear objectives, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and addressing any potential roadblocks that can impact Canola production and timely delivery to North America
- Collaborate with regional leaders and stakeholders to create and analyze key performance metrics that drive seed production reliability and identify opportunities for improvements through process reviews
- Leverage unique business insights to influence and develop supply plans for region and global markets and prepares recommendations to senior leaders
- Additional activities included but not limited too: Create multi-year rolling forecasts, managing seedstock with tollers; oversight of parent seed shipments to South America and U.S. Tollers, managing freight and overall costs of Northbound shipments. Leading/coordinating end of process reviews
- Lead all planning activities for Commercial winter season production of Canola in South America
- Support monthly regional and country S&OP processes by providing overview of supply vs. demand for key product segments while collaborating with Product Management, Demand Planning, Manufacturing and Finance
- Operate within a strong product & trait quality, ISO, compliance and continuous improvement culture
- Estimated Travel: 10-20% regional & international travel (United States, South America)
- Establish strong partnerships with U.S. 3rd party tollers and manage adherence to contract requirements
- Valid Drivers License in good standing
- Skilled at leading, influencing, managing conflict and negotiating with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to clearly present information and influence others through oral/written communications & work with people/teams to build high morale & commitment to goals
- Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business or related discipline
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to lead and work cohesively as a team member; interacting and building positive working relationships within the organization and across other functional groups and departments
- Capability to recognize when there is a need for change and act as a change agent to develop novel solutions to problems
- 3/+ years work-related experience in this type of position (experience in the agricultural industry is an asset)
